I hate this. Dairanne always says she's busy even though I know she's just at home with her mother. It's her mother's fault too. She hates me, and every time she sees me she gives me that look. I probably won't even get to see Dairanne for the Festival, and that's not fair at all. I know she's busy, but I want to help. I can help, and it would take my mind off of everything else. I wish there were more Amtahcha games to watch. That's the only way I've gotten to see her at all, and when we're there the only thing that matters is the game and cheering everyone on. Everything is better when I'm with her, because I don't have to think about anything else. Especially not my stupid brothers and what jerks they always are.

What do you do when the girl you like has a mother who hates you?
