I hope Karlesta is okay. I wish I could go talk to her, but it would look awful if I followed her out when I'm supposed to be with Dairanne. We're courting. I can't just leave to help Karlesta, even though she's my friend. Everyone would talk, even though it's not like that at all. There's nothing I can do. I hate feeling useless.

You shouldn't worry about it. Your party was great and no one would blame you for anything bad that happened. It's not your fault, and if anything it's just going to make people talk about it even more, right? Everyone else was having fun, and all the food was delicious, and the party is going really really well otherwise.
